Antibiotic mushroom dregs are a kind of dangerous fermentation product.Currently, among the common antibiotic mushroom dregs treatment technologies, anaerobic digestion consume less energy, produce methane source and has attachedmore attention. While, there is no report about anaerobic digestion treatment ingentamicin mushroom dregs, and no fermentation device about antibiotic mushroomdregs treatment is applied in engineering. This project adopted anaerobic digestiontechnology, and the gentamicin mushroom dreg was regarded as main study object. The anaerobic fermentation processing mushroom dreg was studied, and the UASBreactor, which adopting the style of fermentation liquor circulation, treatingmushroom dreg was also discussed. That provided a new technology support forantibiotic mushroom dregs treatment. The results showed that anaerobic digestion was feasible to treat gentamicinmushroom dregs. Both solid content and inoculation ratio had a significant effect onfermentation. When the solid content was larger than5%, the fermentation processwill be inhibited. The optimal solid content was5%, and1/3for inoculation ratio. Inthis condition, Yinhe sludge performed better than Nanyang sludge, the net methaneproduction for Nanyang sludge was27.1m3/t and that was28.21m3/t for Yinhe sludge. The anaerobic digestion of gentamicin mushroom dreg performed better than thedirect fermentation of waste fermentation solution. In the optimal condition, themethane production for fermentation solution was only14.21m3/t. That was37.5m3/tfor co-fermentation, gentamicin mushroom dreg/lincomycin mushroom dreg was1:2,which performed better than the single one, indicating obviously synergistic effectwas observed. In addition, various start-up schemes were studied, the optimal start-up schemeof UASB anaerobic digestion for gentamicin mushroom dreg was as follows:inoculation sludge was Yinhe sludge, the influent COD was maintained at20000mg/Land the load increases at the rate of5%, the highest load of system was2.67 Kg·COD·m-3·d-1. Based on above conditions, the COD removal rate could reach80.2%and partial NH3-N was also removed, and the effluent COD, NH3-N was3400mg/Land530mg/L, respectively. The results also showed that the effluent pHhad a decreasing trend when the load was too high.
