In recent years, there are more and more reserves belonging to ultra-low and super-lowpermeability reservoir. By the end of2008, ultra-low and super-low permeability reservescovers92%of proved nonproducing reserves in Jilin operating area: ultra-low reservescovering56%; super-low reserves covering36%. So how to develop these difficult-to-recoverreserves played an important role in sustainable development in Jilin oilfield. The purpose ofthis paper is to give better guidance reservoir properties and percolation features of low andultra-low permeability reservoir in Jilin oilfield and reasonable well pattern arrangement, andalso make a sound proof to nonproducing reserves potential in Jilin oilfield. The micro percolation features of low permeability reservoir are the internal causesaffecting oilfield development. Feasible well pattern will be established for oilfielddevelopment on the basis of better understanding of the internal causes and effectivedisplacement for oil and water wells. This paper analyzed many types of indoor experiments.Technology of newly developed mercury penetration with constant velocity can measurepores and throats and confirm cut-off value for mobile fluid and the percentage of mobilefluid in cores by ways of centrifugal and nuclear magnetic resonance. So this method betterreflects the pore features of low and ultra-low permeability reservoir avoiding the weakness ofthose low precision ways. Qualitative and quantitative classification standards are formed forlow permeability reservoir. Also make a research on non-Darcy percolation laws in porousmedia of low permeability reservoir. Summary was made on pseudo-setup pressure gradient.Evaluation and classification were made on reservoir micro features, which will give betterguidance for well pattern arrangement and oilfield development.
