Crude oil paraffin and pour-point inhibition is an important chemical agent in the oil andheavy oil of high paraffin recovery. It can not only obviously reduce the freezing point ofcrude oil, but also can remove the attached wax and oil of the oil pipeline, production welland lifting equipment, reduce oil flow resistance, increase the crude oil production.Many oil fields at home and abroad for the crude oil has the problem of high paraffin,high pour-point, high flow resistance. In the course of production and development, waxdeposit seriously on the production string and oil pipeline, affect the normal production andmanagement. There have been pipe blocked cause no oil in wells; pressure increases leads tooil pipeline do not transport. To solve the production problems, at present, one idea is toimprove and maintain the temperature of crude oil, another is using chemical agent to reducepour point of crude oil, the purpose is to make the oil temperature is higher than the waxdeposit point, completely solve the problem of crude oil wax.At present, Crude oil paraffin and pour-point inhibition includes an ethylene-vinylacetate copolymer (referred to as EVA), polyacrylate series, maleic anhydride copolymer, anitrogen-containing polymer and so on. But the main problem is the small range ofapplications, the different types of crude require different agents. This paper is based oncomplex way through analysis of wax crude oil, combined with the principles of the eutectic(freezing point significantly lower), selected five similar polymer spectrum C9, C14, C18,C22, C24and surfactants to form a broad-spectrum crude oil paraffin and pour-pointinhibition.
