This study take the shales of Upper Ordovician Wufeng formation and Lower SilurianLongmaxi formation in Pengshui area, Southeast Chongqing as the target, the main objectiveis to analyze the target layer microscopic pore type and porosity of shale samples and otheraspects of the micro-scale features. First, determine the organic matter abundance, type andmaturity of target shale layer by geochemical analysis, and then get the mineral compositionof core samples through X-ray diffraction, in addition, use various analysis and testingmethods of microscopic pore characteristics to evaluate the porosity of shale samples, final,Evaluate the total porosity, organic and inorganic porosity, porosity, pore size and thecontribution of each pore within the range of porosity of the target shale interval.Studies have shown that the close fracture, high conductivity fracture and inducedfracture have trends in complementary appear in the target layer of Well Pengye1, and thedevelopment of high conductivity fracture in shale is unfavorable for gas enrichment; theinterconnection of micro-fratures, micro-channel and floc pores is good, provides the mainmigration pathway for shale gas seepage; iorganic pores makes great contribution toLongmaxi shale reservoir space, the importance of organic pores is relatively lower. Someconlutions can be got by calculating the porosity model: to the target layer of Well Pengye1,the total porosity is1.29~8.0%, with an average of4.12%; the organic porosity is0.05~1.71%, with an average of0.71%, the inorganic porosity of0.57~7.42%, with an average of3.51%; to the target layer of Well Jinqian1, the total porosity is3.88~8.78%, with an averageof6.28%, organic porosity of0.15~1.43%, with an average of0.50%, inorganic porosity of2.45~7.85%, with an average of6.13%.
