Classification of reservoir evaluation was the main task of the oil field development inthe latter part of reservoir management, and an important means to control water stable oildevelopment strategy. With the difficulty and cost of exploration, it was urgent and importantto improve the crude oil recovery. Many oil field development practices showed that generallythe water drive oil recovery was only about30%, two-thirds of the remaining oil reserves stillleft in the ground. This development status has opened up the prospect for the remaining oiland the application techniques.On the basis of previous research, the combination of developed practical results ofXinmin oil fields for many years, deepened study on control factors of remaining oil inXinmin oilfield, on the basis of the study, reservoir has been evaluationed classificated, andmake the development methods according to diffierent infiltration unit,effectively guide newwell productivity arrangement, water injection formulated, remaining oil to be tapped.(1) Systematically recognize the structure and sedimentary characteristics, this is thecornerstone of the control factors of reserviors, combined the reserviors’ character, thereserviors of Xinmin oilfield can be devided into different infiltration unit.(2) Study on distribution of remaining oil with the various means, upon the study, theremaining oil can be devided into6types, provide favorable direction for method ofstimulation effect.(3) According to fine reservoir description, theory contact practice, property contactproduction, make the second reasonable program of oilfield development.
