During the adjustment and control of the oilfield development, in order to improve seepage condition of stratum, clear a blocked, and promote oil well productivity, we must fracture reservoir of oil-water wells, no matter whether it is sandstone reservoir with low permeability or fractured carbonate reservoir. But how to judge the effect of the fracture after fracturing? Whether the fracture length and trends can reach the design requirements. How about the underground extension and trends of the artificial fracturing? Is the fractured well connected with surrounding water wells? Whether the flood out or the water channeling can happen? In the past, in order to analyze these problems, we could only depend on the experience of reservoir technicians, production data after well fracture, and the data of fracture pressure in fracturing operation. These methods have some problems. The first, there are many human factors. The second, the precision is not enough, so it is difficult to judge the length and trends of the artificial fracturing. The third, the construction is of long period, complex and higher cost.In this paper, propagation properties of elastic wave field through earth materials are used to monitor the micro seismic, which is produced by reservoir fracture in the fracturing operation. We can get the data about the orientation(direction), length, height(range) and occurrence of the artificial fracturing, after we analyze the monitoring data. For further research, we can analyze the direction of maximum horizontal principal stress underground, so that it can provide a basis for the plan of geologic development.
