This paper is focused on geology research results of the SII10+lla-SII15+16b formationof north-three-west estern area in Sabei zone.Taking the fluvial facies reservoir depositonalcharacteristic and geological reality of reservoir heterogeneity into account,a set of researchmethods and technology of reservoir flow units are suggested and performed. This research isdivided into four steps. The first step is, on the base of the isochronal stratigraphic divisionand correlation, to establish isochronal formation framework.The second step is to studysedimentary microfacies. Third one is to screening the main parameters which reflect thepercolation ability of reservoir,to establish the flow unit classification standard by clusteringanalysis method,and also to verify the results by a variety of methods,discriminant analysis,oil well static analysis and dynamic tracer monitoring etc..The fouth step is laminate differentbatches of well network, to establish the model of remaining oil distribution, and to reveal thedistribution of remaining oil combined with the flow unit study. The research shows that flowunits can control the distribution and output ability of oilfield.
