In this paper, a series of novel N-heterocyclic phosphine ligands were designed and synthesized, which were modified by introducing diphenylphosphine moiety into benzoxazole or benzothiazole frameworks. The ligands L (L1-L7) can be expressed as follows:We synthesized six series of thirty-one Cu(I) complexes by coordinating L with CuX (X=I、Br、Cl). Then, the structured of complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction analysis. The photoluminescence properties of the complexes were thoroughly investigated through determining the UV-Vis absorption spectra, luminescence spectra, phosphorescence quantum efficiency and lifetime. The results showed that: such ligands can sensitized the luminescence of Cu(I) excellently; the luminescence of Cu(I) complexes are the typical phosphorescent triplet of MLCT which charge transfer is the central copper ion to ligand; The complexes in solid state exhibit strong phosphorescence covering the visible spectrum from green to red (510nm-690nm);The luminescence quantum yield (Φ) of D series are high at room temperature, especially for D6(Φ=26.23%), indicating that these novel complexes are promising phosphorescent materials.
