The flotation froth is strongly related with the flotation performance. The study on the factors influencing the froth stability and its influence on the separation of real ores paves the way for the column operation optimization and bauxite recovery enhancement.Using dynamic froth stability and floatation water recovery as froth stability indicator, this paper studied the influence of different flotation parameters on froth stability in both two phase and three phase system. And finally, this paper determined the relationship between froth stability and bauxite column flotation performance.This paper systematacially revealed the relationship between superficial gas velocity, superficial liquid velocity, frother type and concentration, electrolyte type and concentration and the froth stability in two phase system. A higher frother concentration, a larger superficial gas velocity and superficial liquid velocity as well as a stronger ion hydration degree can induce a more stable froth.In the bauxite column flotation system, the factors concerning about the bauxite flotation froth stability include superficial gas velocity, flotation concentration, grinding size, oleic acid dosage, sodium carbonate dosage, sodium hexametaphosphate dosage and so on. The froth stability can be improved by increasing superficial gas velocity, solids concentration and sodium carbonate dosage.The froth stability will influence the bauxite column flotation performance. Under the most suitable conditions, the raw material alumina silica ratio1.62, we can get alumina recovery51.24%, alumina silica ratio6.07flotation index.45Figures,12Tables,65References.
