Euonymus alatus red leaves after flat drying are ideal for embossing material, but there are color migration, fading and other problems with dried leaves. The technical conditions of extraction, pigment analysis and stability of red pigment were studied. And then Euonymus alatus leaves color retention was studied, the process technology of pressed flower protecting was established.The extraction of Euonymus alatus red pigment:Orthogonal experiment were designed to optimize the extraction of red pigments on Euonymus leaves, and significant differences among the different extraction methods was analyzed. It was founded under the condition of material ratio1:30,70%ethanol-0.15mol/L hydrochloric acid solution as the extraction solvent, ultrasonic power250W, extraction temperature50℃, extraction time45min,the extraction was best.The analysis and stability of Euonymus red pigment:The maximum absorbance wavelength of Euonymus red pigment was530nm. By color reaction, UV-VIS Spectrum and HPLC-MS, it was inferred that the Euonymus pigments contained pelargonidin-3,5-two glucoside and delphinidin-3-glucoside. Effect of pH on the stability of red pigments is more obvious, lower pH can be kept the color of red pigment stable. When pH>4, the solution gradually shows yellow-green and can not detect the maximum absorption. The red pigments has a certain heat resistance, and at50℃the color of red pigments is very brilliant. Oxidizing and reducing agents destroy the red pigment seriously, and the red pigment is sensitive to light. Sucrose, glucose and citric acid on suitable concentration will make the absorbance of the solution increase. After joining Zn2+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, Mn2+in pigment solution, the change of absorbance was not significant, effect of these metal ions on the stability of Euonymus red pigments is not big; Al3+and Pb2+could make the solution more colorful and the absorbance increase; while Cu+, Fe3+and Fe2+could make the color of the solution change, and precipitate, and destructive to red pigments. And the effects on the red pigments of different ionic concentrations are different.The process technology of pressed flower protecting:according to the selection of color retention agent formula, processing temperature, processing time and preservation method, the process technology of pressed flower protecting was built up:collecting fresh leaves→3%sucrose+7%citric acid+0.10mol/L Al3+as color retention agent, in water bath heating20min drying leaves by embossing machine36h→sealed storage and keeping out of the sun→→conception and production of embossed handicrafts. It is found through experiments that, Euonymus leaves after color retention treatment can withstand a certain time of natural light and ultraviolet light, and thereby, it is verified that the color retention formulations optimization has good color retention effect.
