Abstract:Ionic liquids have attracted extensive attention due to its excellent environmental friendly, high ionic conductivity etc physical and chemical properties. Polymers are widely applied in various areas such as energy, chemical and biological sensors because of its ease of preparation, well mechanical, good film-forming properties and good flexibility. In recent years, the preparation of IL and polymer composite has attracted considerable attention. The new composite combines the advantages of ILs and the polymers. However, the largest problem is that the polymer and IL are easily separated. In this study, we will solve this problem through synthesizing the copolymer of IL and polymer monomer and introducing IL to conducting polymer as the components of conducting polymer backbones.(1) Flexible gel polymer electrolyte materials are obtained by introducing ionic liquids to non-conducting polymers as the components of polymer backbones. Firstly,1-Ethyl-3-vinylimidazolium bromide (EVImBr) is synthesized. Then, the copolymer Poly (VAc-co-EVImBr) is synthesized via free radical polymerization method. The flexible copolymer film has been applied as an electrolyte in electrochemical device. The electrolyte exhibites excellent thermal stability up to300℃and wider electrochemical window of5V. The calculated conductivity of Poly (VAc-co-EVImBr) is8.58×10-7(S·cm-1). The copolymer can be used as the potential electrolyte.(2) New electrode materials are obtained by introducing ionic liquids to conducting polymers as the components of polymer backbones. The mechanism of conductive of this material is the ionic and the electronic conductive mechanism of conductive. Firstly, pyridine is connected to3-nitrobenzyl chloride. Then, N-(3-nitrobenzyl)-pyridine chloride (NBPyCl) is reduced to N-(3-Aminobenzyl)-pyridine chloride (ABPyCl). Then, the polymer Poly (N-(3-Aminobenzyl)-pyridine chloride)(PABPyCl) is synthesized via oxypolymerization method. The structure of the prepared polymer is characterized by infrared spectrometry (IR) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR). The polymer has been applied as an electrode in electrochemical device. The electrode material exhibites excellent thermal stability and redox reversibility. In addition, the polymer electrode material shows excellent conductivity and capacitance. The polymer material can be used as the potential electrode.
