This paper studies the firing technology of a new type ceramic of fly ash, thepurpose is to use some special properties of fly ash floating bead, including lowdensity,strong heat insulation performance,hollow qualities and the chemicalcomposition Similar to ceramic’s and, etc.on the basis of adding sintering additives,it is combined with kaolin,quartz sand preparation to fire a new type of ceramicmaterials. This passage respectively discusses some influence factors of themorphology and properties of ceramic materials,such as the iron oxides content offloating bead, floating bead add quantity, floating bead size, sintering additives,sintering temperature and heat preservation time, etc. Finally the best sinteringconditions of the new type of ceramics were determined.Research shows that:a),28.24%-35.79%of the best add content is fly ashcenosphere. under this condition,the material has a low apparent porosity,a lowbulk density porosity and a appropriate closed porosity, the resistance to bendingstrength is26.3MPa;b), When iron content of floating beads is lower, fly ash floatingbeads have better sintering properties, at the the same time, ceramic material hasberrer performance,too;c), If the heat preservation time is certain, when the sinteringtemperature is1100℃,we can get ceramic with good performance;d),If thesintering temperature is certain, As extend the time of heat preservation, theperformance of ceramics will be better but when the heat preservation continue toextend after a appropriate time, the performance of the sintered body changedlittle;e),On the basis of the above conditions, select feldspar powder as sinteringadditive, and adding quantity is approximately35%, ceramic materials of highdensity can be obtained;f,) on the best sintering conditions, the porosity of ceramicmaterial with large Size of drift beads is high, and it has low bulk density and aappropriate resistance to bending strength,inversely,ceramic material with smallParticle size of floating beads has higher resistance to bending strength.
