Sesame lignans is characteristics of active component in sesame,mainly including sesamolin, sesamin, sesaminol and sesamol. The content ofsesamolin in sesame lignans was second, behind the content of sesamin. Sesamolin isunstable in acidic conditions, which is easy to produce in into sesaminol、sesamol andother products, studies show that the physiological activity of sesaminol is moreprominent. Phosphotungstic acid is a kind of mild reaction conditions, high catalyticactivity, the strong corrosion of equipment of solid acid catalyst, how to makesesamolin directed into sesaminol over phosphotungstic acid become the researchfocus in this article.In this paper, based on sesamolin as reaction substrates, effective phosphotungsticacid as catalyst, HPLC and TLC as detection methods, the influence of differentreaction medium to sesaminol were studied, reaction system were primarilyestablished in which sesamolin as substrates, phosphotungstic acid as catalyst andpetroleum ether as reaction media. Analysis the reaction solution from the differenttimes by HPLC, respectively, the effects of the addition of catalyst activationtemperature, dosage of catalyst, reaction temperature, reaction concentration, reactionprocess of sesamol on sesamolin into sesaminol were studied. Based on theresearch,using petroleum ether as reaction medium, under the reaction conditions ofsubstrate concentration of sesamolin0.5mmol/L, catalyst activated of3h in200℃,the amount of catalyst0.6g/mol,the reaction temperature85℃, reaction time210min, The generation rate of sesaminol could reach more than90%. Repeated use ofthe catalyst after3times, the generation rate of sesaminol reached more than60%,catalytic effect was good. Characterization of preferred phosphotungstic acid catalystshow that phosphotungstic acid activated of3h at200℃has a lot of acidic sites, andmaintain stability under the reaction temperature and time.Add a small amount of phosphotungstic acid in cold pressed sesame oil, lowtemperature reaction after the suction filter to remove solid phosphotungstic acid, canimprove the content of sesaminol in sesame oil.
