Pulse electroplating becomes the focus in recent years because of its superior surfacemorphology of microstructure and properties compared with the dc plating, coating method.Mesilate Sn-SiC pulse electrodeposition is used as the research object in this paper. Using thedc plating method to determine the optimum plating solution composition, To determine theparameters by single pulse electroplating cycle reverse pulse electroplating, and then test theprepared coating properties, including microstructure of phase structure corrosion resistancewettability and so on.The main experiment content concludes: under the condition of dc electroplating,according to the single factor experiment, nanometer SiC content in the coating surfacemorphology、the microstructure、the orthogonal experiment method are considered,andultimately the experiment the plating solution composition: Sn2+concentration is21.52g/L;Mesylate100mL/L; Brightener8mL/L; SiC concentration is10g/L; Gum Arabic0.3g/L;Electroplating time20min; Current density of2.8A/dm2.With the method of single pulse electroplating investigation factors,final pulseparameters was tested that: duty ratio0.3、frequency500Hz, and then reverse pulseelectroplating periodicly to determine the best conditions; Compared the performance of cyclereversing pulse plating pieces and dc electroplating plating pieces and the result showsthat:the SEM graph of the periodic reverse pulse electroplating plating pieces compactstructure of coating surface morphology, smooth, uniform and nanometer SiC particles arewell-distributed; the crystal structure of coating was test using XRD, which indicates thatnanometer SiC have played an important role in refining grain size; EDS test coating surfacecontains Si、C、Sn elements and Sn elements takes more proportion: Abrasion resistance test(Tafel curve) shows that adding equal amount of nano SiC the pulse electroplating platingpieces more superior corrosion resistance than the dc electroplating plating pieces, theperiodic reversal pulse electroplating plating pieces has best spreading area under thecoating/solder interface wettability.
