N-butyl acetate is one of the common volatile organic compounds, it is wildly used as organic solvents, extraction solvent and dehydrating agent, and it also can be used as raw material in the fields of chemical industry, varnish manufacturing, nitrocellulose manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, leather manufacturing, plastics manufacturing, system of spices and so on.Acetic acid is one of the most important organic acids, mainly for acetic anhydride, vinyl acetate, acetate fiber, and metal acetate and acetic acid esters. Also used as pesticides, pharmaceuticals, dyes and other industrial solvents and raw materials, pharmaceutical manufacturing in the photographic, textile printing and dyeing, rubber industry has a wide range of uses. With the application of butyl acetate and acetic acid more and more widely, this has resulted more and more industrial waste water. So recycling butyl acetate and acetic acid can reduce production costs and reach the standards of environment. This paper used rotating packed bed (RPB, higee) in the course of removing n-Butyl acetate from waste water and achieved good results. Moreover the different speed of RPB has been investigated for the influence of the removal rate. The main methods dealing with Acetic acid waste water at present include Ordinary distillation, azeotropic distillation and solvent extraction. Compared with other methods, solvent extraction has mild operating conditions, low energy consumption and has a higher extraction rate, but also conducive to environmental protection. This paper used extraction method removing wastewater containing acetic acid. The experiment indicates that the removal rate of butyl acetate rises to the highest point with the speed of RPB is800rpm when the liquid flow rate is HOL·h-1and with the speed of RPB is700rpm when the liquid flow rate is between140L·h-1and200L·h-1, then the removal rate reduces with speed of RPB rises. With the best conditions, the concentration of butyl acetate in the wastewater after treated is minimum; the removal rate is93.4%. After distillation, selecting TBP as the extracting treat wastewater, when the solvent ratio of1.0, the extraction time was10min, extracted3times when the best extraction efficiency as high as97%.
