The addition of aromatic ketones to olefins is one of the important organic reactions. The researches on these reactions and catalysis have been executed, but it did not make progress. Until now, Carbonyldihydridotris-(triphenylphine)ruthenium(WYH-l) which could catalyze the addition of aromatic ketones to olefins with a high degree of efficiency and selectivity has been found. However, the yield of WYH-1is low and the high cost. So it is useful and valuable to research on the synthesis and to improve the yield. In this paper, the synthesis, decontamination and catalytic behaviour of WYH-1are studied, and the optimal factors of synthesis and acetophenone reacting with triethoxyvinylsilane are confirmed.WYH-1is one of the ruthenium complexes. The effect is studied for reaction conditions such as quantity of triphenylphine, formaldehy, the kinds and the quantity of basic, the kinds and quantity of solvent and the reaction time on the product yield. Optimized reaction conditions are RuCl3·3H2O:Ph3P:HCHO:KOH=1:6:160:5.5(moler ratio), reaction time2h at the temperature of78℃. Under suitable reaction condition, the yield of product is more than84%. The production is analyzed by IR,13C NMR,31P NMR, UV and melting point. The solvent used in annealing the WYH-1are benzene and methanol. The effect is studied for reaction conditions. Optimized reaction condition are methanol:benzene=3(volume ratio), reaction time12h at the temperature of4℃. Under suitable reaction condition, the yield of first annealing product is72.5%and the yield of second is87.3%. The yield of WYH-1is53.2%.The catalytic behaviour of WYH-1on some reactions which some compounds such as acetophenone, benzoyl hydride, benzoic acid and triethoxyvinylsilane react with phenylethelene has been studied. The results illustrates that WYH-1has higher catalytic performance on the reaction of acetophenone with triethoxyvinylsilane.
