Deep drawing forming is a main means of sheet metal forming process andan important processing methods in manufacturing industries such as automobiles,machinery-electronics ect. The phenomenon of top rupture,edge wrinkling andbig springback et al in machining drawing parts has been a puzzle in sheet metalforming process design. The key is to reasonably assure the process parametersand design mold structure. Therefore this paper, regarding the stepped cylindershape motor shell as an example,By the way of numerical simulation,BP neuralnetwork experimental study to optimize process parameters.Specific researchwork is as follows:This paper propose the method of one deep drawing forming by analyzingthe forming characteristics of the the stepped cylinder shape motor shell; thispaper get the reason and the position that rupture and wrinkling easily happen inparts drawing, through analyzing for deep drawing process; The motor housingforming limit diagram, thickness distribution diagram, stress distribution diagramwere obtained from numerical simulation, while parameters like rough shape andpunch fillet radius from the simulation results; Based on orthogonal simulationexperiment, the influence regular pattern of (BHF, punching speed, punch and dieclearance, friction coefficient) and other factors on the motor housing formingwere obtained, regarding the maximum amount of thinning which affects theforming quality as evaluation index.Through the establishment of BP neural network which can predict themotor housing deep drawing forming,this paper has got the nonlinear mappingrelationship between each blank holder force,punch velocity ect factor and theminimum thickness objective function and getting the parameters of a group ofbetter forecasting results. Through numerical simulation verification whose results show that the results of numerical simulation is better and meet therequirement of forming.This paper designed and developed a set of practical drawing die of thestepped cylinder shape motor shell and made experimental investigation to getthe optimal blank shape size. Experimental results show that the effecting ofmotor shell deep drawing is good, progress to verify the reliability of theparameter optimization results. Thus worthy of popularization and application inthe field.
