ABSTRACT:Macromolecular organic inhibitors have been the focus of research to the mineral processing researcher. As the natural biological material, it not only has high stability, security, low cost, hydrophobicity, biodegradability, etc. But also, its molecular chain contains many active groups, which are easily modified to obtain various derivatives of macromolecular organic inhibitors. At the same time, it can adjust flotation, flocculation and dispersion of fine mineral function. All these advantages make the field of macromolecular organic inhibitors show broad application prospects in pharmaceutical processing, especially to the problem of fine grained even micro-fine mineral, it shows great potential faced in mineral engineering.Natural gum is an effective inhibitor of calcium minerals. In the thesis, we use three calcium minerals, scheelite, calcite, fluorite, as the research object. Through a single mineral flotation tests, investigated pulp pH, type and amount of natural rubber, metal ions, mixing medication, stirring time dialogue tungsten ore and other calcium impact of mineral flotation behavior, also, investigating the effect of the separation between the calcium minerals in virtue of artificial mixed ore trial. The main analytical methods contain contact angle, surface zeta potential, adsorption capacity determination, infrared spectroscopy, exploring the mechanism of inhibition of natural rubber to the scheelite calcium minerals.Through a single mineral flotation tests, we found that Arabic gum, guar gum, xanthan gum have the function of inhibition to the three calcium minerals, pH and the type and amount of natural rubber are the key factor, which effect the recovery of calcium mineral. With the increasing of dosage of natural gum, the recovery of scheelite decreased significantly, it is easy to be suppressed; For calcite and fluorite, the recovery declined slowly, by flotation in the pH range from8.8-9.2using3×10-4mol/L sodium oleate as collector and25mg/L natural gum as depressant. What’s more, through the study that external factors impacting the inhibiting properties of natural gum, we found that using a combination of inhibitors can increase the choice inhibition of natural gum, while the metal ions have different degrees of impact on natural gum, mixing time have a little effects to the inhibitory of natural gum.With mineral surface contact angle measurement, zeta potential test, the adsorption capacity, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, we have studied the mechanism of inhibitors of natural gum to scheelite, calcite and fluorite. From the study, we know that different natural gum have different mode of action on the surface of calcium minerals. The type of adsorption of Arabic gum and xanthan gum on calcium minerals is mainly physical effect and static electricity. The guar gum effects on the surface of calcium mineral by hydrogen adsorption. Three kinds of natural gum cannot significantly reduce the absorption of sodium oleate at calcium minerals. At last, we calculate and discuss the macromolecular structure and properties of organic inhibitors; Molecular chain, the polar groups and relative molecular mass of natural gum have a significant impact on the inhibition of natural gumThrough the study, we preliminarily get the mechanism of inhibition of three natural gums on calcium minerals. It provides a valuable reference for the further study of new macromolecular organic inhibitors. Figure42, table4, reference55. |
