Environmental protection has become necessary for sustainable human development. The main features of PASP are biodegradable, nontoxic, and environmental friendly. All these excellent advantages make it a hot issue of research in many countries. The research on modification of PASP was performed in this paper. The principal work was as following.A new type of green-multifunctional scale and corrosion inhibitor was prepared by using polyaspartic acid and polysuccinimide as raw materials respectively. For polyaspartic acid, the synthesis was accomplished by a four-step reaction:the esterification, hydrazinolysis, salt formation and cyclization. The target product is also obtained by a reaction of the hydrazinolysis, salt formation, cyclization and hydrolysis, while polysuccinimide was raw material.At first,1,4,7,10-tetraazamacrocycle central dodecane was coupled with polyaspartic acid and polysuccinimide respectively. In order to avoid the large steric hindrance, the polyamines were firstly modified with four carbon linker followed combination with polysuccinimide to get the target product.
