The mechanical and electrical mine anemometer is a dedicated device whichis used in safe detection in coal mine. The accuracy of anemometer’s readings arevery important for coal mine production. At present, the detection process ofanemometer is in the professionally testing organization in China. The mode ofthe traditional detection relies on artificial reading and preservation. The degreeof inspecting automation is low and the result is not accurate. Especially, thespecial structure of the mechanical and electrical mine anemometer make thereadings difficult to identify. For these reasons, the research of numericalrecognition and data transmission system in the verification process ofmechanical and electronic coal mine anemometer has higher society popularizedvalue and practicality.In this paper, the digital image processing and recognition technology areapplied in the verification of mechanical and electrical coal mine anemometer.Firstly, using camera to collect the mirror image of the anemometer from a plainmirror which in the wind tunnels. Secondly, the image is processed by secondmirroring, denoising, the location of numerical display area, binarization,segmentation, etc. Lastly, according to the characteristics of the anemometerwhich using the seven sections of digital tube to display the digital,the separatearea scanning method was adopt to recognize the digital characters and thedecimal point.In this paper,the VS2010is used as the development tools, and developed asystem which include identifying and storing functions, generated document andfile transfer. The computer vision library (OPENCV) was used in digital character recognition process. The ACCESS database was used to save the dataand generate the curves certificate and conclusion certificate. the file transfersystem adopt the client/server(C/S) model, the peer-to-peer model was used toraise the transmission rate, the DES method was used in encryption anddecryption process, and improve the security of file transmission.
