With the development of the social economy level and the strengthen ofindustrialization process, the human modification to the earth brought directly therise of material level. But at the same time all kinds of waste were produced such asgas, waste water and solid wastes, namely three wastes, in great quantities, whichseriously affected the people’s living environment, caused great pressure toresources and the environment, directly hindered the sustainable development ofeconomy and society. Especially, solid wastes not only take up a lot area of land,but also affect the landscape and the harmful ingredients inside may also be spreadthrough air, water and other fluid medium so that the air quality, water quality,river and sea would be polluted. How to correctly deal with solid wastes and makethe garbage into treasure is an important research topic in today’s society and has aprofound social significance.As a kind of new building materials, ceramsite has been proved to be the mostimportant ways of dealing with solid wastes. At present, many scholars have beenstudying the sintering process of ceramsite, including the optimum processconditions like sintering time and sintering temperature. The preparation process ofceramsite is as followed. Firstly mix some solid wastes with a certain proportionaccording to the demand of raw ingredients, and then make the raw materials intopellets in a pelletizer, and finally turn the raw pellets into ceramsite finishedproducts with the aid of a sintering equipment through a series of physical andchemical reactions.The realization of process is ensured by the equipment. This article is based ona project cooperated with an enterprise and it aims to determining the productionprocess of producing construction ceramsite with fly ash and sludge and studyingthe key technology of the drying and cooling equipments in the ceramsite productionline.Firstly, the production technology of ceramsite with fly ash as the main rawwas analyzed, and the main process of ceramsite production was discussed and the key equipments in the production line were determined.Secondly, the main structure of turbulent energy-efficient dryer and the blades’maintenance of the central shaft as well as its dynamic balance were studied and thedeformation and temperature of the central shaft and the bearing at the end of theshaft in the run situation were analyzed. Then after structural optimization andimprovement, the deformation characteristics in different heat transfer conditionsincluding the water spray cooling method in the hole at the end of the shaft werecompared and it was concluded that the shaft after structural optimization could runbetter. After that, the author simulated the internal flow field of the turbulentenergy-efficient dryer and studied the heat transfer performance between the hot airand the granular materials in different rotational speed, which had shown that thedrying efficiency presented a positive correlation with the rotational speed in acertain range.Sectional vibration fluidized bed dryer could be considered as series of multipleintegral type ones and it can preheat and dry the ceramsite raw pellets morereasonably and effectively.Finally, the cooling machine for producing the ceramsite is explored. For thefirst step, compare the main structure of the single cylinder cooling machine and themultiple cylinders cooler and then carry out the detailed design and calculation ofthe single cylinder cooler. As for the friction drive, discuss the main failure modeand transmission efficiency etc.. At the end, the power transmission process of thefriction drive on the cooler was analyzed which may show a certain reference valuefor the design of friction drive in the future.
