In the field of water treatment, the development of new high-coagulant, coagulation basictheoretical research, optimized the coagulation process has become a hot issue. This articleinorganic polymers Polyaluminum Ferric Chloride(PAFC) and organic polymers PolyDimethyl Diallyl Ammonium Chloride (PDM) complex was prepared by novelinorganic-organic composite coagulant PAFC-PDM, and zeta potential measurement, FourierTransform Infrared Spectroscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy were used tocharacterize the structure and morphology of its performance. Also investigated the PDMcontent, basicity, aluminum and iron ratio and other factors on the zeta potential of thePAFC-PDM. The use of composite coagulant PAFC-PDM for different raw water containingalgae enhanced coagulation treatment, PDM content, basicity, aluminum and iron ratio, pH,tempreture and other factors on coagulation process were studied; discussed PAFC-PDM forwater samples different strengths algal species removal; comparative analysis of the PAFC andPDM separate dosing with direct dosing coagulation effect PAFC-PDM and its impact on algalcell morphology. The results showed that when PDM content was15%, basicity was20%,aluminum and iron ratio was9:1coagulation appeared best, new composite coagulantPAFC-PDM has a good adsorption, such as the role of bridging and excellent electrostatic inand capabilities, which showed better removal by enhanced coagulation characteristics; whenthe pH value was5~6, removal of turbidity and algae up to96.36%and97.14%; dominantspecies on different water samples processed results: Diatoms was best, Cyanobacteria wassecond, and Chlorophyta was worst. The merits order of coagulant dosing by different ways toturbidity and algae removal is: PAFC-PDM> PAFC+PDM> PDM+PAFC> PAFC. In theprocess of algae removal, the dosing of composite coagulant PAFC-PDM, PAFC+PDM,PDM+PAFC and PAFC has no damage to algae cell structure basically, can effectively preventthe rupture of algal cells to make the leakage of intracellular substances become disinfectionbyproducts precursors, but using pre chlorination+PAFC process resulted in seriousbreakdown in the algal cells.
