In this paper, ferrite and graphite are main absorbing agent to study thegypsum-based absorbing materials. In order to improve the mechanical properties ofgraphite-gypsum system, the absorbing performance of single-phase system andreducing the amount of ferrite, we carried out the experiment of modifying graphitegypsum system, ferrite graphite composite system absorbing performanceexperiments and the preparation experiment of lightweight ferrite. To solve the problems above, firstly we carried out the reaserch of modifyinggraphite gypsum system. We select the sample which graphite content is25wt%asthe modified object. Then incorporate polycarboxylate, silane coupling agent, AES,four titanate coupling agent surfactants into the graphite gypsum system. Secondly,we carried out absorbing performance research for ferrite graphite gypsum composites. Finally, we carried out lightweight ferrite research. The results are as follow: on the reaserch of modifying graphite gypsumsystem.the sample which incorporate polycarboxylate superplasticizer has the bestflowability, water-solid ratio reduced from1.1to0.9, the compressive strengthincreased from0.106MPa to0.701MPa, anti-fold strength increased from0.064MPato0.312MPa.On the absorbing performance research for ferrite graphite gypsum composites:the sample which has the best absorbing properties has25wt%Ferrite,5wt%graphite.This sample has a absorption bandwidth of7.1311GHz, and a maximum absorptionpeak-18.467dB. The rest of the samples of complex system are generally better thanthe single-component samples. Then we carried out paper bonding experiment andbreaking load test: the optimal dosage of modified starch should be0.8wt%forcomposite system which has the best absorbing properties in this experiment. Thecomposite system average breaking load is401.4N, the minimum transverse fractureload of367N.On the lightweight ferrite research. When the concentration of NaOH whichimmersed wood powder is1.5mol/L and the reaction temperature is75°C or90°C,the Fe(OH)3have the maximum load on wood particle,28.87%and28.74%respectively. Then calcined wood powder after load and we got iron oxide powder. The surface of iron oxide powder was rough, resulting in gaps among the grain and the density of iron oxide powder after load is lower than who did not load on thewood powder.
