Since coal-bed gas production of single well is low, to reach the scale of economicdevelopment, enhancing the efficiency of the mining of coal bed methane is a must. CBMwell pattern optimization of development approach is the important measure to improve theeffect of CBM development. Exploitation of CBM should first discharge water in coal seam. The seam pressure drops rapidly, when down to the critical desorption pressure, releasing theadsorption methane in coal seam. And well spacing can effectively expand the coal reservoirpressure drop funnel. However, in domestic and abroad inter-well interference characteristicsof the rule is a lack of theoretical research. This paper first proposes inter-well interference intensity quantitative description method;studies the impact of different geological and development parameters of CBM reservoir tointer-well interference characteristics of the conventional vertical well pattern, and studies thecontrolling factors affecting CBM inter-well interference, concluding that the permeability, porosity, initial water saturation are the controlling factors of the inter-well interferenceintensity; using distance weighted grey correlation method, analyzes the interference betweenvertical fractured well interference geological controlling factors and development controllingfactors; Lastly, based on reservoir and fluid data of southeast edge of Ordos basin, establishesthe concept of different well pattern model, combining with the results of vertical fracturedwell control factors, using the intuitive analysis for the parameters optimization of wellpattern development, and studies the center hole and inter-well interference intensity of CBMrecovery grade, the relationship illustrates the formation of the inter-well interference forCBM development.
