With the development of science and technology in Space of the world, China has alsogot tremendous progress in the aspect of science and technology in Space. Life science inSpace is the focus of all the relevant research fields. Analysis chip’s system using in Space,which has a high-throughput, low power consumption and small size, will bring greatchanges to life science in Space. Needs for analysis chip’s system which is more efficientand more integrated has also become more and more pressing.This paper researches the constructing and application of analysis chip’s system usingin space based on the biotechnology and microfluidic technology. With the technology ofmicroprocessing and bonding of chips, this paper proposed two possible technical solutionsfor the foundation of analysis chip’s system using in Space, one solution is to bulid a chipanalysis system based on the technology of electrophoresis of DNA, another solution is toconstruct an analysis chip’s system using the technology of nucleic acid’s hybridization.Based on the two schemes, we set up two sets of DNA analysis system to detect target DNAfragments rapidly.The main contents of this paper based on the two technical solutions of DNA analysischips using in Space are:(1) Explore a new bonding method of PMMA chips and measure the surface ofcopper electrodes to find the fracture toughness. Improve the channel structure of theelectrophoresis chips to improve the effectiveness of electrophoresis using the simulation ofcomputer.(2) Combine the DNA electrophoresis chip whit the PCR chip to build up anequipment for the pamlification and detection of DNA in Space. Optimize the flow pathand the controlling progress of temperature to detect the target DNA rapaidly.(3) Find a method of DNA hybridization chip’s application in Space, and develop aminiaturized low-power cost hybridization chip system, which costs power less than25Wand finishes the detection of target DNA segment in90min. Combine this system with PCRchip and resolve problems in the flow paths and controlling of the temperature. Provide amore efficient technique for the biology experiments in Space.
