The liner was an essential part of the coke pot for Coke dry qunenching, thefailures were easily caused by oxidation burning loss and thermal fatigue crackingbecause it was weared and impacted by hot coke and thermal cycle frequently. Soexcellent high temperature oxidation resistance and high temperature mechanicalproperty were necessary. New heat resistance steel was developed by optimization ofFe-Cr-Ni-Si series heat resistant steel.Twelve kinds of heat resistance steel were designed. Fe-0.3%C-18%Cr--3%Ni-5%Mn-0.36%N was optimal by comparison. The results showed that the hardness ofalloys improved by Mn and Ni content increasing; in this austenite alloy, there was nosecond phase; the oxidation resistance was gradually deteriorated with the increase ofMn content from5%to15%; The oxide scales are made of Cr2O3, Fe3O4, MnO2andMn2CrO4.The results showed that the new alloy could be used as alternative material of theliner.
