With the continuous development of industry in recent years, air pollution becomes more andmore serious so more and more people pay attention to air pollution control, especially to thecontrol of fine particles, which makes the exploitation and research of materials for air pollutioncontrol become more important. The dust filter material has formed a certain scale in our country,but most are ordinary products, the production processes are similar, the proportion of high-endproducts that have special features are not high.Dust in the air containing water and oil so the dustget hygroscopic and deliquescent easily and the dust adhere to the filter surface easily to producethe sticky bag in the separation process. Sticky bag phenomenon not only reduces the filteringeffect but also produce great threat to the normal operation of filtration equipment, so the filtrationmedia that filter the gas with water and oil should not only have a good filter performance but alsoshould have water and oil repellent properties. Therefore the research on repellency functionalfilter material is very important.Filter material is the “heart” of separation equipments, it is an important part that decide theseparation effect, nonwoven material has become a priority for its superior performance. Needlepunched nonwoven filter material has smooth surface and high strength, and many otheradvantages that traditional textile filter material don’t have. With the development of nonwovenproduction and processing technology, needle punched polyester nonwoven filter material hasbecome a very important filter media that apply in various fields, but traditional needle punchedpolyester nonwoven filter still has some shortcomings, its large aperture and high porosity make itcan’t entrapped particulate matter in gas stream effectively and it is difficult to achieve the desiredfiltering effect.This paper aims to through the water and oil repellent finishing not only makespolyester needle punched filter material to reach water and oil repellent effect, while theperformance of the filter media can be improved.The article analyzed the principle of water and oil repellent and analyzes the most commonlyused types of water and oil repellent finishing agent found that the organic fluorine finishing agenthas better water repellent and oil repellent effect, and fluorinated finishing agents have showngood stability in the environment of high temperatures and high radiation, acid and alkali. Thefluorinated finishing agents have high-effect in low density characteristics and the finished fabriccan maintain excellent moisture permeability and good feel. This experiment uses fluorinefinishing agent FG-910that produced by Beijing Jieershuang high-tech company to do needlepunched polyester nonwoven filter material water and oil repellent finishing.Next, this paper discussed the water and oil repellent finishing process and the scope ofprocess parameters. Determined the finishing process is rolling baking process, and determinedthe scope of FG-910concentration, dipping temperature, dipping time, PH, pre-bakingtemperature, pre-drying time, curing temperature, curing time, etc. And through single factor test obtained the influence of these parameters on water repellency, oil repellency and change rate ofgas permeability.In order to explore the water and oil repellent finishing optimal process, the article identifiedfive factors of the orthogonal experiment based on the single factor experiment, they are FG-910concentration, dipping temperature, dipping time, baking temperature and baking time. Throughthe five-factor of four levels orthogonal optimization test got the optimum finishing process thatenable the needle punched nonwoven filter material has best water repellent and oil repellenteffect and the breathability rate achieved good results is that the immersion temperature is55℃,immersion time is25min, FG-910concentration is60g/L, baking temperature is150℃, bakingtime is150s, the finishing process allows water-and oil-repellent level reached the level of8, theair breathability rate change ratio reached18.75%, improved the filtration performance of thefilter effectively. And tested the contact angle, pore size and static properties of the filter materialthat finished by the optimal process. The contact angle of the filter material that finished by thebetter process could reach150.1o, filter pore size is relatively concentrated, and the the aperturewas smaller, the average pore size was24.76um, the antistatic half-life was less than2s,according to half-life assess standard its static nature was A-level,...
