Polypropylene is widely used in fields, such as fiber film, packaging materialbecause of its rich source, low price and excellent comprehensive properties. Due toits poor low-temperature resistance, poor aging resistance and poor compatibility withpolar polymer, which limits its application in many fields, so we should modifypolypropylene to broaden its application domain. In this paper, we adopts the methodof melt blending modification, polymer materials with excellent properties wereprepared by blending PP with SEBS, PET, r-PET respectively. And through thetechnology of plasticizing and reactive compatibilization to adjust the structure andproperties of blend materials, through microstructure analysis and relatedperformance tests, studied on the relationship between the structure and performanceof polypropylene blend materials, prepared a class of polyolefin blend materials withspecial performance.The PP/SEBS/EPDM blends material was prepared by a method of meltextrusion and in situ plasticizing, and we studied the effects of plasticizersturcture, PP content on mechanical properties and processing properties ofPP/SEBS/EPDM blend material. By adjusting the “soft”,“hard” segment of blockcopolymer composition, improved the mechanical properties and processingproperties of SEBS by the method of in situ plasticizing, prepared PP/SEBS/EPDMblend materials with excellent mechanical properties, excellent processing properties,soft, strong medium resistance ability. The tensile strength achieved28.1MPa, thehardness achieved68A, melt flow index achieved3.2g/10min, provides a newmethod of preparation of thermoplastic elastomer wire with flexible, high rebound,strong medium resistance ability.The PP/PET/PP-g-GMA and PP/PET/EPDM-g-GMA blend materials were preparedby a method of reactive compatibilization and melt blending using PP-g-GMA andEPDM-g-GMA as the compatibilizers of blend system, we systematic analysis theeffects of compatibilizer structure and composition of PP/PET on impact resistanceperformance of the blend material, research showed that the EPDM-g-GMA hasmore excellent compatibilizers than PP-g-GMA, significantly improved the notchedimpact performance of PET, The notched impact strength of PET blend material from 0.83KJ/m2increases to21.23KJ/m2,25times that of pure PET, provides a newmethod for toughening notch sensitivity material.The r-PET/r-PP/EPDM-g-GMA blend material was prepared by a method ofreactive compatibilization and molecular chain extender, And through chain extensionbetween epoxy resin with r-PET to improve the mechanical properties of r-PP/r-PETblend materials. Research showed that: the chain extension between epoxy resin withr-PET improve the tensile strength and notched impact performance of the blendingmaterial, the notched impact strength of r-PP/r-PET achieved15.5KJ/m2and thetensile strength achieved18.9MPa by the reaction compatibilization ofEPDM-g-GMA and chain extension between epoxy resin with r-PET, which could beused as a kind of new recycling material, provides a new way for the recycling ofwaste polyolefins and polyester material.
