With the rapid development of the science and technology and modern industry,a single material has been difficult to meet the higher requirements ofcomprehensive performance of the material in the modern production, so the newcomposite materials with physical and chemical properties of different materials inthe integration, came into being. As a kind of new composite materials, Ti/Al/Mgcomposite with all advantages of titanium, aluminum and magnalium can reduce theconsumption of titanium and reduce the steel metal cost. Ti/Al/Mg composite has avery wide application prospect in aviation, petrochemical, war industry and buildingarea.In this study, Ti/Al/Mg laminated composites were fabricated through hot rollbonding process. The effects of rolling parameters on the properties of Ti/Al/Mgcomposites were studied. Bond mechanism, the texture and microstructure of the3003Al were also discussed, by means of optical microscope (OM), scanningelectron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), multi-functiontesting machine named INSTRON, vickers indenter, and so on.The results show that: Ti/Al/Mg composite of this paper had reachedmetallurgical combination. With increasing of the deformation, the tensile strength,yield strength and bonding strength had been enhanced, but with increasing of therolling temperature, the tensile strength and yield strength had been decreased, thehighest strength appears at the temperature of450and the rolling reduction of62%.The existence of Ti can dramaticly increas the strength of the sheets, since thecontent of Ti is very little, the strength is more close to Al sheet The atom diffusionphenomenon was appeared in each sample with a zone of4.35to4.53μm in Ti/Aland7.03-8.56in Al/Mg. Diffusion zone responded to the bond strength of allsamples. During hot rolling process, dynamic recrystallization occurs in themagnesium layer, the grain size decreases with the increasing rolling reduction, andincreases with the rolling temperature, when the rolling temperature reached450,recrystallization took place in the aluminium layer, and the grains were gradully elongated with the increase of the rolling reduction.
