With the rapid development of modern manufacturing, the online monitoring technologyof the CNC machining tool wear in the process is more and more important. The oldmonitoring technology need experienced technical personnel, by monitoring somephenomenon in the process of cutting, cutting shape, tool surface. But the efficiency of thesemonitoring is low, and accuracy is not high, and that also bring in a waste of the cutting tool,by tool change too late or too quick.The on-line monitoring technology can work without interrupting the cutting process,very suitable for the CNC system, saving a large amount of human resources.This paper mainly studies the relationship between the tool wear and cutting force, byusing dynamometer to test three direction of cutting force, by the time domain and frequencydomain analysis, we can find the characteristics signal of the tool wear. At the same time, wealso test the tool wear morphology, recording the tool wear morphology with cutting time, andstudy the relationship between tool life and cutting parameters. At last, we change the cuttingparameters to optimize the tool life, improve production efficiency. |
