Efficient processing equipment combined with Laser cutting technology andmodern NC technology, solve many difficult problems that traditional equipmentcan’t solve and plays an irreplaceable role in industrial production. Higher precisionand intelligence will be the goals of the CNC laser cutting technology to meet theurgent need of economic development. Laser cutting path optimization is one of theproblems remain to be solved urgently.The problem of laser cutting path optimization this paper researches on can besummarized as the laser cutting air travel optimization, when contour is the cuttingunit. This paper combines the research achievements of the TSP with the laser cuttingoptimization constraints simultaneously. The heuristic method is proposed to achievea shorter cutting path firstly, and then the hybrid genetic algorithm is put forwardbased on the heuristic method to solve the problem of collision-avoiding,smooth-cutting and so on. This paper presents the optimization of punch pointlocation and lead-in method to guarantee the Starting Point quality, and it alsopresents the optimization of contour cutting direction and cutting order of contours toreduce the influence of thermal deformation on the quality of the parts.The order in accordance with the outline cutting will be disrupted in order toimprove the cutting efficiency which is referred to as the laser cutting trajectoryoptimization.This optimization method need to consider Bridge-cutting andLink-cutting (reduce the Punch Point), Common-cutting (reduce the cutting length),micro connection cutting (improve the thermal deformation on the quality of theparts), etc. So according to these different problems, this paper put forward somemethods such as the Common-cutting, the Chain-cutting, the Bridge-cutting and thetilt-avoiding cutting. These methods play an important role in improving the cuttingefficiency.Combined with the actual needs of enterprises, we realize the development andapplication of the cutting and feeding software, including module of partsmanagement, cutting optimization management, output management and so on.
