YVO4crystals have excellent optical performance and hightransmittance.Besides,they are easy to grow.They are a kind of excellent birefringentcrystals.The processing and coating process of YVO4crystal is mature,easy to massproduction and widely used in the optical fiber communication field. YVO4crystalsare the key material of optical components such as isolator, collimator andcirculator.They have a wide application market.In the recent years YVO4crystalshave been used in the field of laser application more and more widely, especially inthe fiber laser field.How to reduce the laser wavelengths, such as the1064nmabsorption, is a new topic in the development of YVO4crystals.This paper introduces the process control of YVO4crystals growth process,including Czochralski equipment, raw material preparation, growth method, etc.Thepaper also illustrates the YVO4crystals growth process of several importantparameters, including the crystallization driving force, the mass transfer in the growthsystem, the heat transfer in the growth system, the stability of the growth interface,the interface shape, etc.This paper introduces the measurement principle of PCI (Photo-thermalCommon-path Interferometer), measurement equipment structure, the importantmeasurement parameters and the concrete operation process. At the same time,itanalyzes the weak absorption curve of PCI measurement.Based on the different types of YVO4crystals1064nm weak absorptionmeasurement, including scattering particles samples,inclusion samples and colordifference samples, compared with the absorption of the different sample,it analysisthat supports inclusion and color difference have the greatest effect in the1064nmweak absorption, and that scattering particles is not obvious effect in1064nm weakabsorption effect.Increasing oxygen aeration for YVO4crystals can significantly reduce1064nmweak absorption. For the YVO4crystals that have grown completely, the appropriateannealing also can reduce1064nm weak absorption.
