Biological indicators comprehensively reflect the result of interactions amongdifferent pollutants, with the characteristics of strong comprehensive, sustainability andhigh sensitivity. Enrich and improve existing biological monitoring. The study wasfocused on investigation and analysis the statues of Macroinvertebrates of SonghuaRiver to achieve the following objectives:Explore the Water Quality Evaluation Methodbased on aquatic organisms; Scientific assessments the effect of Water PollutionPrevention Plan;Provide the basis for evaluate the effect on pollutant emissionreduction.Macroinvertebrates were investigated at nine sampling sites in Songhua River indry and wet season. Physical and chemical paramrters of water were also monitoredduring the same period at the sampling sites The composition of species and number ofthem in different sampling sites were examined. Evaluation of water quality wereanalyzed by kinds of Bio indices and instructed of instructor species. The relationshipbetween environmental factors and species diversity were analyzed by the CCA analysisand BIOENV analysis.6of9sites have reached the III standard, and3of them reachedIV standard. The major pollutions were CODcr、CODmn and BOD. During the surveyperiod, a total of40taxa from nine sampling sites were identified in Songhua River. Belonging to3Phylum,6Class,12Order,26Family,36Genus.The greatestpercentages of taxa were recorded in the aquatic insect. There has Significant differences in dominant species and community compositionamong different areas of Songhua River. Most of them was clean or slightly pollutionindicator species such as Mactonema、Polycentropus. So most areas water quality isgood.Trent index, BMWP index, BPI index and Chandler index were comprehensivelyused in the assessment of Macroinvertebrates. The analysis results shows that waterquality have some difference in different sites. Upstream and downstream are betterthan midstream, and part of Jiamusi is much better than that in Harbin. TheComprehensive Evaluation of the results showed that water nutrition in the study arearanges oligotrophic to mesotrophic. The community of Macroinvertebrates and environment variables were examinedby canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) and BIOENV analysis. Among samplingstations different physical and chemical indicators impact the Macroinvertebratescommunity structure. The distributions were discussed in different areas. The result ofCCA indicated that TP was the important environmental variables affectingMacroinvertebrates community structure of the Songhua River. Combined of physical and chemical indicators effect on structure is significant, and spatial changes is moresignificant than times.
