In China, there are a wide range of unconsolidated sandstone reservoirs. Its productionoccupies a major position. The sand is the main stumbling block of this type of reservoirstimulation. Frac-packing sand control technique (F&P) is developed for oil and gas wellssand phenomenon reservoir transformation and sand. It is the combination of Tip Screen outFracturing and gravel packing. It makes the sand-carrying fluid to form sand plug at the endof the crack and makes fracture the swell and fill up. F&P can form a short and wide highconductivity seepage path. Combining of gravel packing method, it can achieve the dualpurpose of stimulation and sand control.This paper describes the technology technical advantages of the F&P technology forstimulation and sand control, the research topic include F&P well productivity prediction,fracture geometry parameters prediction and construction optimization of process parameters.F&P classical curves of well production prediction method are not conducive tocomputer programming and the method is very complex. This paper presents a new simpleway called skin analysis to simulation production. Analyzing the factors affecting productioncapacity, such as fracture length, choked fracture, perforation factor, fluid leak-off damage,this software can get the optimization results. Through the establishment of optimizingfracture parameters model, the software can get the process of removal of sand at the end ofcrack geometry and sand removal time. In connection with the given reservoir conditions, itcan choose the type of proppant, the amount of proppant and fracturing fluid, the pumpingprocedures of proppant. According to the condition of sand flow it can determine parametersof sand control pipe string and filling construction displacement by critical velocity. Theresult showed that the model which has reference value for improving the success rate isreliable and accurate.
