Chlorinated aromatics are ubiquitous environmental pollutants and hardlydegradable, they are highly harmful for human and eco-environment. In recent years,scholars have found combined pollutants for industry, such as Chlorinated aromaticsand gas pollutants (NOx). At present research, dagradating Chlorinated aromatics andNOxwas profound, however, synergistic decomposing Chlorinated aromatics and NOxhardly exists. Therefore, it is important to develop an efficient, environmentally benign,and economic technology for degrading chlorinated aromatics and NOx.A nanometer-sized, ball-like Ce0.2TiAlαOx composite was synthesized throughco-precipitation process. The synthesized samples were characterized by scanningelectron microscopy combined with energy-disperse X-ray analysis, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis, differential scanning calorimeter and thermogravimetricanalyzer, X-ray powder diffraction and XPS. The synthesized degradation of1,2,4-TrCB and nitrogen oxides as model compounds was carried out over the preparedCe0.2TiAlαOxcomposite oxide, using the microreactor. The Ce0.2TiAlαOxcompositemetal oxide showed good catalytic performance in the synthesized degradation of1,2,4-TrCB and nitrogen oxides. The cause of the high activity is attributed to thecomposite oxide with a high specific surface area and a high total pore volume as wellas the catalytic synergistic effect between the two compounds. To further research, usingDRIFTS analysed the metal oxides for after reaction, gas chromatography massspectrometry and HPLC-Q-TOF to analyze the degradation products, which may speculate the possible degradation pathways and degradation mechanism. Finally, in thisreaction system, it may has hydrodechlorination, oxidative reaction, ring-openingreaction and others that needs further research. And, it has advantage to degradatingnitrogen oxides when CHxexisting.
