Eutrophication of lakes and reservoirs is one of the important issues in the field ofenvironment, the paper applies the algae functional groups classification method toresearch between algae community dynamics and environment factors in the northwestlakes and reservoirs. On the basis of water reservoirs on years of algae research data, the paper studied the deep-water reservoir algae functional groups vertical seasonalsuccession and its relationship with environmental factors; Analyzed the reservoirs andlakes of different seasons and different characteristics surface algae functional groupsand succession characteristics, explored the main environmental factors affecting thealgae functional groups succession and the reservoirs and lakes algae functional groupsdifferences. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)10functional group codes were found in the deep-water J-P reservoir: B、P、D、X1、MP、F、M、S1. Of which the first four were common, after the four appeared lowprobability. Seasonal changes had no effect on functional groups MP and F of differentdepth water layer, with varying degrees of impact on other functional groups; Biomassof algae functional groups on the longitudinal differential differed with seasonal change.(2)A variety of reservoir algal functional groups coexisted in spring and autumn, reservoir algal functional groups were relatively simple in summer and winter. Verticalfunctional group structure difference was not obvious, in addition to the functionalgroup X1in May and July, S1in March to become advantage functional groups, D, P, Bthe three functional groups became alternately the reservoir optimal functional groups.(3)The succession of algae growth strategy followed: CR/R/C in spring'CR/R/C/S in summer'R in autumn'CR/C in winter, but there were some differences indifferent years. (4)10surface functional group codes were found in the J-P reservoir, Shibianyureservoir, Tangyu reservoir, Xingqing and Qujiang lakes in northwest: B、P、D、X1、M、MP、F、S1、J、G. Each lake and reservoir surface dominant algae functional groupsand seasonal succession of the annual algae functional groups structure were quitedifferent; the dominant algae functional groups were not the same in different seasons inoligotrophic Jinpen reservoir and eutrophic Shibianyu reservoir; throughout the yeardominant functional group was B in eutrophic Tangyu reservoir; eutrophic Xingqingand Qujiang lakes were different from the reservoirs, throughout the year dominantfunctional group was D.(5)RDA analysis of algal functional groups and environmental factors in the fivelakes and reservoirs indicated, phytoplankton functional groups succession and thedominant functional group were consistent with water nutrient levels.
