The grate-kiln production lines of the west of Baogang pellets used advancedproduction technology, the annual output1.2million tons acid pellets of granularity of8-16m, it promoted the indicators of blast furnace and increased economic returns. Thepellets of the grate-kiln production lines that optimizes BF burden structure, increasing BFproductivity and decreasing ironmaking energy consumption, and it also makes full use ofiron ore resources and other minerals. It achieved Baogang resource strategy. With theprogress of the production, the kiln-ring phenomenon occurring in acid pellet rotary kiln.The kiln-ringing is always bottleneck of the consecutive pelleting production and normalrunning of grate-kiln-cooler process at present. So the paper from the point of view of thebaiyanobo iron and injected fuel to explore the compressive strength, softeningtemperature and microscopic of the rotary kiln. The result provides a theoretical basis forthe influence of the baiyanobo iron on the properties of the ring in acid pellet rotary kiln,which is intended to be used as a preliminary guideline for further treatment of Baiyanoboiron ore with high quality.Baiyanobo iron contain high levels of F, K, Na, it will influence the grate-kilnproduction processes. So the different ratio of F, K, Na add to production materials tostudy the compressive strength, softening temperature and microscopic of the rotary kiln.The results show that the concentration of F from0.15%to1.5%and the concentration of(K2O+Na2O) from0.18%to1.2%, which lead to the compressive strength of the ringreduced by37.67%and41.57%, respectively. The concentration of liquid and liquidviscosity increase obviously, and the softening temperature and porosity decreased. Thefluoride had volatilized in the roasting stage, so it had less influence than potassium andsodium.When the temperature of kiln reaches1250℃, the coal had burned into coal ash atthis temperature. With the progress of the heating in kiln, the concentration of coal ashwas increasing. Therefore, it has the practical significance to study the compressive strength, softening temperature and microscopic of the rotary kiln. The results show thatthe concentration of coal ash from0.1%to5.0%, which lead to the compressive strengthand softening temperature of the ring reduced. At the same time, the concentration ofliquid increase obviously, which prevent hematite from contact with O2. Although the ironjoined crystal and the compressive strength reduced, the kiln can be easily to clean.
