This paper is aimed for a general knowledge of the situation of the electromagneticradiation of Baotou. Through research on the general radiafrequency environment andspecific source Environment in Baotou City,master the electromagnetic radiation level ofthe whole City district,it has a certain meanings of the theories and practice.We search with the grid method and choose10most representative observationpoints,in view of humanity and geography and some other factors. The comprehensiveintensity fields of Baotou and Huhehaote are below the limits value of standard. Thework of Huhehaote and Baotou started early,twice a year from2007.While The work ofChifeng, Hulun buir, Wuhai and Manzhouli just started in2013. The monitoring data ofBaotou and Huhehaote illustrates that the comprehensive intensity fields are stable butpoised for growth, which should be highly regarded. The monitoring work of Chifeng,Hulun buir, Wuhai and Manzhouli were just started and the monitoring data is notsuccessive, so that there is nothing comparable. The values of these cities are higher thanthat of Baotou and Huhehaote.We still observe the radiation condition with the grid method,use the interchange ofSteel Street and Arding,Street as the center point,make a1km*1km grid square extendingfrom the center line of Steel Street and Arding Street and divide the observationzone,make the center of the square as measurement location,234totally.From the monitoring results we could see that the comprehensive intensity fieldsvalue of the electromagnetic radiation situation of Baotou is between0.11~2.08V/m, andthe average value is0.37V/m, which is not exceeding comparing with the standard valueof12V/m. The value of power-frequency electric fields is between0.04~377.96V/m,and the average value is5.65V/m, which is not exceeding comparing with the standardvalue of4kV/m. The value of power-frequency magnetic induction intensity is between0.006~0.985μT, and the average value is0.047μT, which is not exceeding comparing with the standard value of0.1mT. The data above shows that the situation of theelectromagnetic radiation of Baotou is fine and clean, but the monitoring value of somepoint is a little high, which should be better protected.From the distribution diagram we could see that the electromagnetic radiation valueof the heavy industrial district is higher than that of others. These zones which has a highmonitoring value shoud be highly cared. We should discuss specifically during the urbanplanning, in order to minimize the electromagnetic radiation value.In order to maintain the health of our people and to prevent electromagnetic radiationpollution impact on them, relevant departments must take effective measures to prevent andcontrol it. We can strictly comply with the industrial policies and regulations, reasonably applyof the electromagnetic radiation pollution control technology and enhance their protectionabilitytocarry outthisworkin threeaspectsofits protectiveability.
