Because magnesium alloy has many advantages of low density, high specific strength and stiffness, recyclable and low cost, etc. So it has a wide range of applications in many fields, especially in the field of aerospace, automotive, and communications. However, magnesium has special crystal structure characteristics. In the conventional rolling or extrusion process (0002)<1120> basal slip is first launched, therefore, it is very easy to form a strong (0002) texture. At the room temperature, the alloy presents obvious anisotropy, which has a great influence on the two forming ability of the sheet. So it has theoretical significance for the development of new magnesium alloy for further study of the texture Optimization Design and plastic forming technology.By spray deposition process magnesium alloy can refine the grain size, reduce macro segregation, extended solid solubility of alloying elements greatly improve the mechanical properties of the alloy. In this paper, the spray deposition magnesium alloy Mg-9Al-3Zn-6Ca-1Mn-2Nd was studied as the object of study. In the early stage, the extrusion billet with "asymmetric size" was obtained by pre extrusion of magnesium alloy. Now the extrusion billet with the "asymmetric size" is carried out in different directions (0degrees and90degrees) and different deformation degrees of hot rolling, and combined with XRD texture testing, phase analysis, SEM, metallographic analysis, TEM and vivtorinox hardness tests under different deformation degree on microstructure and performance of magnesium alloy are analyzed. The results of the study the following:(1) The grain size of spray deposition of magnesium alloy extrusion billet is about3~5μm.There are two kinds of second phase particles in the magnesium matrix:micron Al2Ca phase and nano-sized C15grains (Ca,Nd)Al2.The texture types of magnesium alloy extrusion billet is cylindrical texture of {1010}<1120> and cone texture {1013}. The key reason of cylinder slip initiation is fine grain of the magnesium matrix and second phase particles.(2) The size of the asymmetry of the magnesium alloy sheet at350degrees,0 degrees along the direction of rolling process, with the increase of deformation degree, the number of second phase particles innanometer level increased. The Mg-Nd-Zn type LPSO structure exists in each deformation degree, structure type is24R.The intensity of basal texture {0002} and cone texture of {1013} increased with the increase of deformation degree, but the intensity of the cylindrical texture {1010}<1120> is enhanced, and then decreases."The main reason for the formation of non texture is the types of texture extrusion billet and nano-sized C15grains (Ca,Nd)Al2.(3) The size of the asymmetry of the magnesium alloy sheet at350degrees,90degrees along the direction of rolling process, with the increase of deformation degree, the number of second phase particles innanometer level increased, the intensity of cone texture {1013} increased with the increase of deformation degree, and have a little base texture {0002}. The main reason for the formation of cone textured is the size of the asymmetric sheet and the types of texture extrusion billet.
