Caidian district is the western gate of Wuhan, and there have a good ecological environment endowment In the context of emphasised on ecological construction at the eighteenth congress of the communist party of China and transition of the industrial structure in Caidian district, this research is based on theory of ecological.function zoning in the ecology level landscape, combinating the situation in Caidian district, on the basis of the survey of the real eco logic environment status, and analysised the eco logic environment status, the ecological sensitivity, the spatial distribution regulation of the ecological capacity by using the technology of GIS. According to the data above, by making clustering analysis for each township in Caidian to get the map of Ecological function zoning, and put forward the control measures of prohibited zone, Restricted zone and the key development zone.Finally, combinating the current development trend in Caidian, this paper put forward the suggestions of ecological protection. Mainly include the following.By the survey of the present situation of the ecological environment which include the current situation of the natural environment, the natural resources, socio-economic and the quality of ecological environment for the study area, this paper calculated the development degree of each township in Caidian, and the grade order of the social economic strength ranks:Caidian, Zhashan, Daji, Tonghu, Zhangwan, Zhuru, Yongan, Suohe, Hongbei, Xiaosi, Yuxian.On the basis theory of the ecological sensitivity, this paper applied decision analysis method by the evaluation factors which include the terrain, water environment and the habitat to get the calculation results:the extremely sensitive area account for5.62%of the total, highly sensitive area account for9.82%, moderate sensitive area account for25.18%, lower sensitive area account for20.08%, insensitive area account for39.31%, and assessed the Ecological Suitability according the results above.The ecological carrying capacity reflects the maximum bearing capacity of the resource consumption in this area for the environment. This paper analysised the ecological footprint and the ecological carrying capacity by using the data in5years in Caidian, with the results showed that Caidian is in the state of ecological deficit, and the results of the ecological footprint of each township indicated that Hongbei, Tonghu, Zhangwan, Xiaosi have a higher value of the ecological footprint, and have a obvious agricultural advantage.Finally, this paper makes clustering analysis by using the index which include the social economic strength, the slope sensitivity, the elevation sensitivity, the water sensitivity, and the vegetation coverage sensitivity to get the four function zonings in Caidian, respectively, north ecological human settlements zone, eastern urban ecological construction zone, western urban ecological agriculture zone, midwest ecological tourism reserve zone, and then points out the control measures for each zoning.This research put forward the frame for the ecological construction planning and rational distribution of industrial structure that considering the ecological condition, and proposed the related advices for the ecological protection which had the role of guiding constructing the "blue sky","green land","pure water","beautiful city" of "beautiful Caidian".
