According to authoritative organization survey, there will be one third countries in the worldfacing fresh water resources crisis. China is a typical water shortage country and one of13poorestcountries in the world in terms of per-capita water resources. Water shortage has become one ofthe biggest challenges to achieve the goal of comprehensive construction of well-off society forthe next2decades. In response to water stress and shortage, it is an inevitable choice to carry outthe integration of water and fertilizer, easing water resource crisis, realizing high-efficiency andrefine agriculture and sustainable development of the society.Potassium dihydrogen phosphate isnot only chemical product and also chemical raw materials. It is widely used in many fieldsincluding agriculture and industry due to its excellent physical and chemical characteristics. In theagriculture, it is a high concentration of phosphorus, potassium compound fertilizer with thecharacteristics of high efficient, instant, non-toxic, harmless which is mainly used in water solublefertilizer. In the industry, it is mainly used in chemical, food, medicine, feed and etc.By research of potassium dihydrogen phosphate production technology both at home andabroad, taking comparison of the production principle and process of the direct method,neutralization method, double decomposition method, ion exchange method and extractionmethod, analyzing the characteristics of all kinds of production technology, taking into theconsideration of our advantages in terms of technology, raw materials and etc, it was concludedthat solvent extraction method would be popular in potassium dihydrogen phosphate productionwhich was confirmed to be the production technology for the company. The extraction processdesign was optimized on the basis of our existing technology.Through the extraction mechanismof extraction solvent and extraction performance screening and test, org1tertiary amine waschosen as extraction agent and org2as phase modulation. The effect of the reaction is best with themost economical cost is when org1concentration was60%~80%and extraction temperature was60℃, the extraction time was15min, raw materials of phosphate and potassium chloride feedmolar ratio was1:1~1to1.2, org1and mole ratio of potassium chloride is1.25which wasproven by the experimental data.On this basis, the major production method including theextraction, crystallization, concentration, extraction was taken into experiment, the relevant datawas obtained, the optimization of technical parameters was improved and the product qualityreached the first class national standard. From the perspective of economy, the cost of productionwas measured. Extraction production of potassium dihydrogen phosphate is more economicallyfeasible with advantages than direct method, the production cost of neutralization method anddouble decomposition method.By the extraction of potassium dihydrogen phosphate production technology research andproduction practice, the wet-process phosphoric acid purification technology was furtherimproved and optimized. The technology had variety of advantages replacing traditionaltechnology, saving resources and energy and reduceing the environment pollution. In addition toeconomic benefits, it also had social benefits enriching and perfecting the potassium dihydrogenphosphate production technology. The paper looked forward the development trend of water soluble potassium dihydrogen phosphate industry development with the suggestions.
