Personal protective equipment (PPE) is one important category of variousproducts used for industrial work safety. The second industry sectors consistently takeup the largest share of Chinese economy, bringing about numerous health and safetyhazards in the work place and high incidence of occupational diseases. PPE plays acrucial part to personal work safety as engineer approaches are yet to sufficientlyreduce the work place hazard. Ever complex working environment and risingawareness of work safety brings about new demands for worker protection and higherquality requirements for PPE. High quality PPE standards are required to ensure theproper manufacture, deploy and usage of PPE.To fulfill the raising demand of standard, and improve quality of the PPEstandards, research on PPE standardization system is needed, especially thetechnological work system. The standardization technological activity system needs toimprove in the infrastructure and work mode to be continuously improving.This dissertation gave acomparative analysis between the PPE standard systemsof China and Europe. Based on system engineering theory, PDCA theory and usingCheckland SSM, this dissertation established a new model of PPE standardizationtechnological activity system. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1) Established a new model for standardization technological activity system.Based on system engineering theory and Checkland SSM, analyzed and studied needsof PPE technological activity, divided the system into organization sub-system,standard developing and revising sub-system, standard sub-system, supervisionsub-system, evaluation sub-system.(2) Researched hierarchical structure and support function of the sub-systems.Organization sub-system is further divided into design-making level, operating level,application level, and pointed out co-ordination mechanism between levels. Apyramid NPDCA model is established for standard developing and revisingsub-system.(3)The last part of this dissertation gave an empirical research of the revisingworks done to the PPE national standards: GB6095《Personal fall protection systems》,GB6096《Test method for personal fall protection systems》, considered the revisingprocesses were in good agreement with this model, and looked into further worksrequired to perfect this model.
