In recent years, polymer solar cells (PSCs) have attracted a lot of people’s attention due to their advantages such as low cost, light weight, good flexibility and large-area processing etc. In the past five years, the novel D-A low band gap conjugated polymers were designed and applied in polymer solar cells, significantly improving the photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE). In this paper, a series of D-A low band gap conjugated polymers based on FTPD were synthesized by Suzuki coupling or Stille coupling. Their structures were characterized and their properties were studied. The main results are summarized as follows:1. FTPD and2,7-Bis(4,4,5,5-tetramathyl-1,3,2-dioxaboralan-2-yl)-9,9-diocctylfl-uorene were synthesized, then polymer PF-FTPD was synthesized by Suzuki coupling. Their properties ware characterized by1H NMR, FTIR, GPC, TGA, CV and UV-Vis.2. A series of BDTs derivatives were synthesized, then corresponding polymers were synthesized by Stille coupling as follows:PBDT(2,4)-FTPD, PBDT(8,10)-FTPD, PBDT(T)-FTPD. PBDT-T-FTPD with thiophene as as π-spacer was also synthesized. All of the polymers have large Mw and Mn. The results showed that the shorter side chains may broaden the absorbtion eadge position and will more likely to induce a red-shift. Red-shift also was found in PBDT-T-FTPD. PBDT(T)-FTPD exhibited better thermostability when BDT’s side chain was replaced by thiophene. Besides, the theoretical Voc of PBDT(T)-FTPD was also higher than the others.3. A series of random terpolymers were synthesized by Stille coupling including PBDT-DTTP20-FTPD80(P7), PBDT-DTTP30-FTPD70(P8), PBDT-DTTP40-FTPD60(P9). D-A conjugated polymers PBDT-DTTP100(P10) and PBDT-(?)D (P4) were also synthesized. Their properties were characterized by’H NMR, FTIR, GPC, TGA, CV, UV-Vis and PL.Besides, SEM was used to study film morphology of the polymers. At last, We test the Voc, JSC, FF, PCE of polymers(P7, P8, P9, P10and P4):PC60BM BHJ devices.
