Today, society energy becomes more and more nervous, resources are increasingly scarce, the deterioration of the ecological environment becomes increasingly urgent, so we need an environment-protecting, energy-saving and efficient technique to solve these problems, membrane separation technology a new one with these advantages. Porous metal composite membranes as an important part of membrane separation technology has got more and more attention and study, the demand of them has been growing in all field and the requirements of performance have been increasing. Therefore, the development of porous metal composite membrane which has simple process, low cost and good membrane filtration performance is the focus of membrane separation technology. The main subject of this study is to prepare a porous metal composite membrane, which uses the stainless steel sintered felt as the substrate and LDHs films as the membrane layer material. In the experiment, we use stainless steel sintered felt as the substrate, and it can also provide a source of iron, then prepare LDHs films on the surface of the substrate by the in situ growth method, finally we get a porous metal composite membrane with some certain structure and performance. And then the structure and membrane filtration performance of the porous metal composite membrane are characterized by various means. Studies show that the pure water flux of the porous metal composite membrane can achieve4650L m-2min-1MPa-1, and the porosity is up to42.41%, and the filtration precision is about0.306μm.During the experiment, we calcine the porous metal composite membrane under an atmosphere of hydrogen to obtain a porous metal composite membrane after reduction. And results show that the pure water flux and the porosity of the porous metal composite membrane after reduction have increased, and they are4820L m-2min-1MPa-1and45.79%respectively. However, compared with the porous metal composite membrane before reduction, the filtration precision has decreased, and it is0.324μm.Using activated carbon adsorption and porous metal composite membrane filtration to process coking desulfurizing solution shows that this method can remove suspended particles which is more than0.424μm, and the removal rate of solid particles is over87.77%. We can also find the solution is from dark green to yellow. So this method can be used in further processing in order to reuse the waste liquid, and the effect is obvious.Compared with traditional methods for preparing porous metal composite membrane, the operations of our method are easier and the reaction conditions are more moderate, what’s more, it can be used in industrial production. The binding force between the substrate and membrane layer material is comparative strong, the entire porous metal composite membrane has good stability and long service life.
