| Absorbing material can absorb electromagnetic waves, which it is a functional material with small reflection, scattering and transmission. Its basic principle is that it can convert electromagnetic energy to other forms of energy so that the energy consumed when the absorbing material goes through the electromagnetic wave. Absorbing material is mainly used in stealth technologies for military equipment, civilian protection in the field of human security, communications interference fields and fields of electronic information confidential.With the advancement of science and technology, non-metallic material metalized is becoming one of the hotspots in new materials studied. Fiber electroless plating silver attracted much attention due to the unique of anti-bacterial deodorant, anti-electromagnetic radiation, anti-static, decorative appearance, as well as conductivity, long service life and other functions. Silver plated fiber is a high-performance functional fiber.This text adopt ultrasonic electroless plating method to metalized the surface of non-metallic fiber material, it will obtain uniform coating, good adhesion and conductivity silver plating polyester fibers, mainly used as the absorbing material. The details are as follows:First, the pretreatment process was studied to explore the effects of the sensitizing and activation time on the resistivity. The orthogonal experiments and single-factor experiments were done to analyze the effects of different processing conditions on the formation and quality of the coating, then filter out the optimum conditions with high deposition rate, good stability and suitable for the fiber surface silver plating.Secondly, the effects of ammonia concentration, loading capacity and stabilizer on fiber silver plating were explored. Optimal process for the polyester fiber silver plating processes: AgNO311g·L-1, glucose11g·L-1, C2H5OH50ml·L-1,potassium hydroxide13g· L-1, ammonia50ml/L, loading16g/L, temperature of30℃, plating time of35min, also investigated the effect of thiourea stabilizer, saturated solution of potassium iodide and activation of the deposition rate.Finally, SEM, XRD and VSM and other means are respectively used to characterize silver-plated fibers. The results showed that silvered fiber coating evenly, cover completely, good adhesion, the minimum resistivity up to3.42×10-5Ω·cm under optimal conditions. The millimeter wave attenuation performance of optimal silver-plated fibers was tested. The results showed that the silver-plated had the excellent attenuation ability in the bath AgNO3content11g·L-1, reflecting the loss of the sample is-25.3dB. |
