China is a big agricultural production country, the crops straw yield the largest in the world, but for the comprehensive utilization of straw is relatively backward and has low use efficiency. In Liaoning province, as corn production province, corn straw yield more than5million t one year. Except used for papermaking, livestock feed, fuel and biomass energy, there are still a lot of straw were wasted or incinerated in situ, which wasted renewable resources, at the same time, caused serious pollution to the environment. In recent years, in domestic and foreign, there were all kinds of ion adsorbents prepared by crop waste deal with the heavy metal element or other adsorption material in water, the research of this field is still placed in the exploring stage.The amount of cellulose in corn straw skin is more than the other parts, and there are some of hemicelluloses, lignin is relatively the least, among them, cellulose and hemicellulose are the main raw materials for reaction, the use of pulp papermaking process is for removal of the straw surface waxy, lignin and other impurities. After research and analysis, succinic acid stalk, triethylamine with straw pulp used for graft polymerization in xylene environment can get modified products.The optimal conditions for preparation of absorbent is:8h,140℃,2.5g succinic anhydride/g straw, anhydride:triethylamine for1:1.5(mole ratio). SEM, IR and EDS spectrum analysis showed that straw successfully modified and had a good adsorption for cadmium ion. For cadmium ion adsorption in solution, best pH data is5; in5minutes, the adsorption rate can reach more than96%, but60mins reach absorption equilibrium time; it’s best solid-liquid ratio is1g/L that for adsorbent dosing quantity to cadmium ion solution adsorption; Maximum adsorption is232.56mg/g (2.07mmol/g), which is higher than the cadmium ions adsorption’s from other agricultural waste modified products in literature; by NaCl solution, it’s found that the adsorbent could reuse two times, the adsorption rate is as high as97.76%, succinic acid stalk cycle results show that acid stalk accumulated utilization increase is not obvious to single utilization rate, is not suitable for the actual operation. Through the analysis of the dynamics and thermodynamics, the adsorption of amber acid ion imported on the straw surface and cadmium ion is occured in the adsorbent surface, mainly belongs to the ion exchange adsorption with a particle diffusion adsorption process.
