Titanium alloy TA15is precious metal and difficult-to-cut metal. It is widely used in industrialproduction and national defense. The parts of out of tolerance may appear in machining process. Corrosion,abrasion and fatigue crack may appear in the process of parts service. When damage occurred in TA15titanium alloy parts, it is necessary to consider the operational performance of parts with damage. Weshould consider whether the parts repaired can meet operating requirement to judge repair result. Whetherthe parts need to repair and can be repaired is called repair tolerance. Repair tolerance is associated withperformance factors, technological factors and economic factors. So study repair tolerance need considerthese three aspects. This article study titanium alloy repair tolerance with the laser deposition repairtechnology.The research content as follows:Through basic experiment study laser deposition titanium alloys organization, performance, thereason of deposition defects and preventive measures. Make hole defects on the casting and forgingtitanium alloy. Repaired hole defects to study influence rule of the hole size and hole depth. Make groovetype defects with different thickness. Study the thickness effect on mechanical behavior. Repair sheettitanium alloy. Study burning through and deformation in the process of repair.In combination with laser deposition repair process, study influence factors of parts structurecharacteristics, economic factors on repair tolerance.
