As the birthplace of human civilization, the rivers have been playing an importantrole in the production and living of people, which create good foundations andconditions for the development of living and production of coastal residents, and pushthe continuous development of human society. The growth mode of "two high and onelow" for a long time in our country causes serious pollution for rivers, which have led todeterioration of water quality and decrease of aquatic species diversity. Ecologicalenvironment system around rivers is destroyed badly. In recent years, the localgovernments are gradually aware of the seriousness of destroying the river ecosystem. They carry out the ecological governance for rivers, and achieved some good results. But, due to the lack of ecological concept and economic perspective, in our country, there still have many problems in ecological governance for rivers. With regard to thequestion: how to restore and maintain the river natural ecological system to achieveharmony and unity between people and rivers, between people and water, it has been theimportance and difficulties to realize harmonisation among economic benefits, socialbenefits and environmental benefits. This study is based on the joint Research Project: Research of for Dagu RiverEcological Restoration Technology and management methods and Measures for UrbanFlood Control in the River, which has carried on the on-the-spot investigation andresearch for Taehwagang and Cheonggyecheon in South Korea, Yi River in Linyisuccessively. Through the collection, organization and analysis for the related data ofriver ecological governance related data,,the study research systematically andsummarizes the main engineering practice and successful experience of the domesticand oversea river restoration, and put forward the theoretical basis and principles forriver ecological restorate; the study combines the results of water quality monitoring forDagu River, makes comprehensive evaluation of water quality for each monitoringsection by comprehensive evaluation method, and analyzes the main pollution sourcesof Dagu River; Through fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the study analyzes theinfluence factors for the ecological governance of Dagu River from four aspects: technology, Finance, ecological consciousness and management mechanisms;Combining the ecological restortion Principles of Rivers and practical situation of DaguRiver, the study comes up with the resources for ecological restoration of Dagu River.Six relevant academic papers are published for this study, and win the two awards. This paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter One describes the present situation of the river ecological restoration athome and abroad. It elaborates the restoration status of the main rivers in Qingdao cityand the problems existing;Chapter Two raises the theoretical basis and principles of the river ecologicalrestoration, combining with the field survey to introduce the governance projects ofTaehwagang in South Korea and Yi River in Linyi in details, and summarizes successfulexperience and methods of rivers restoration at home and abroad;Chapter Threebased on the monitoring data for Dagu River over the years, makescomprehensive evaluation for each monitoring section of Dagu River, and, based on thedata of field investigation, analyzes the main pollution sources of Dagu River;Chapter Four conducts a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation for the influence factorsduring the ecological governance of Dagu River from four aspects: technology, Finance, ecological consciousness and management mechanisms;Chapter Five combining with the practical situation of Dagu River and orientationfor the social function of each section of the river, raises the resources of the ecologicalrestoration for Dagu River, and analyzes the economic benefits, social benefits andenvironmental benefits, and also comes up with the safeguard measures for theecological governance of Dagu River.Chapter Six summarizes the results of this study, and raises further orientation ofthe study for the ecological governance of Dagu River.
