Abnormal vibration failure often occurs in the production of thin gauge strip. It not only affects the stability of the continuous production seriously, but also shortens the service life of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipments. The research on how to analyze and eliminate the abnormal vibration failure has very important theoretical and practical significance.The object of this paper is1580mm hot strip rolling line in Qian’an Inon and Steel Co.,Ltd. First, this paper describes the research status of the diagnosis of mill vibration failure. And then it introduces the diagnosis work done on the vibration failure of1580mm hot strip rolling line. The vibration failure signal collection system is realized by designing the testing plan on hot strip milling. The vibration information is acquired and stored through testing the product vibration signals, which includes vertical, horizontal acceleration vibration signals and torsion vibration signal of drive system of different parts on mill. Then, the time domain and frequency domain of the vibration signals are analyzed based on the collected vibration information. The result shows that mill horizontal vibration is the most intense, while the vertical and torsion vibration are forced by horizontal vibratioa So, controlling mill horizontal vibration can control the vertical and torsion vibration accordingly. By analyzing the vibration type, it concludes that reducing the gap between bearing support and mill housing can inhibit the occurrence of horizontal vibration effectively. By adjusting the gap between the bearing support and mill housing for vibration experiment, it shows that the mill vibrations are in good control. Due to frequent change of rollers in mill, the acceleration sensors for collecting rolling mill vibration signal have to be reinstalled at each roll-change time, which influences the working efficiency of rolling line.In order to accurately forecast the horizontal vibration which is the most intense vibration and the gap between equipments, it uses the method of artificial neural network to predict, the result shows that this method can effectively forecast the acceleration of mill horizontal vibration and rolling gap, which provides reference for equipment maintain.
