The parallel machine tool, compared with traditional series mechanism, has a series of advantages, such as, high stiffness, high earring capacity, high precision and light weight, simple structure, low cost, high standardization degree etc, which has attracted the comprehensive attention of the international academic and engineering communities, and have given a lot of research. Accuracy is the important performance index of the parallel mechanisms, which relate problem is not yet properly solved, which make most studies of parallel mechanism in theory prototype stage. In the paper further research on the accuracy of tripod parallel universal platform has made based on the theory prototype.Firstly, based on large quantities of literatures from civil and overseas, the domestic and foreign research situation, the application of parallel kinematics machine has been summarized detailedly. Furthermore, further research about the accuracy analysis, synthesis and error compensation of three parallel machine tool has been made. The significance of this thesis has been illuminated.Secondly, in the aspects of the precision analysis, based on the position analysis of the three parallel machine tool, the model for the pose error analysis method of the end executor of the three parallel machine tool has been formulated and the analysis method of the pose error of the three parallel machine tool has been proposed. When given the tiny structure error of parallel machine tool, effects of pose changes and the structure changes on the accuracy of the three parallel machine tool has also been studied in the paper, and for the error simulation analysis has carried through by using the MATLAB. According to the simulation graphs to observe the influence of each tiny error on the parallel machine tool.Again, in the aspects of the accuracy synthesis, The independent and equal effect principle of error has been applied to the accuracy synthesis of the three parallel machine tool, which has changed the multivariable, multi-object and non-linear problem into the simple linear problem. The algorithm in this paper make the problems of accuracy synthesis become simple and feasible, and has certain practical value.Finally, in the aspects of the error compensation, identify compensable and noncompensable geometric error source which shall influence system end executor pose error.
